Hire Purchase (HP)

A simple way of financing that gives you the certainty of a fixed interest rate, and fixed monthly payments throughout the agreement. The initial deposit and repayment period can be structured to help meet your budget and the length of time you expect to keep the car. You can trade-in your existing car and put this towards the initial deposit, or if you wish, just put down a cash deposit.

After paying the initial deposit you make regular monthly payments to cover the amount borrowed plus any interest and fees   

The interest rate is fixed which means you'll know exactly how much you will repay throughout the term of the agreement   

Once all of the payments have been paid the car is yours

Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)

Similar to a Hire Purchase agreement but with additional flexibility since part of the cost is deferred until the end of the agreement which may give you the benefit of lower monthly payments. The deferred amount is known as the Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) sometimes known as Optional Final Payment.

What happens next? 

At the end of your PCP agreement, you then have a number of options.   

  • Option 1 - Part-exchange your vehicle-use any equity above the Guaranteed Minimum Future Value as an initial deposit on your next purchase.   
  • Option 2 - Keep your vehicle-simply pay the Guaranteed Minimum Future Value to retain ownership.    
  • Option 3 - Refinance the final balloon payment.    
  • Option 4 - Return your vehicle and have nothing further to pay, subject to vehicle condition and within the agreed mileage terms. (Subject to terms and conditions).

Absolutely amazing service from driving in to driving out. Our sales rep Jack was fantastic. They go above and beyond to help with anything you need and they don’t just push you out with a car when you buy a car they do a full check all over and do any repairs needed so the car is perfect before you drive away. They also help with future service plans and warranties. Will definitely return when we get a new car. Highly recommend.

Drove me happy twice now. I honestly wouldnt use another garage. Jacob in particular is brilliant. I was very happy with my series 5 5 years ago and even happier with my series 6 I picked up today. Nothing too much trouble, nothing was too much to ask. 10000% best garage. Ps Jacob needs a raise! 😂🤩 But really it’s the little things that matter and this garage takes care of it all. Stopped in before as a washer fluid reservoir blocked, sorted no charge. Key fob battery died, sorted no charge. Called up and booked services, mots and all sorted and driven away with a truck looking brand new. 🥰

I contacted Celtic Auto about a car I had seen on AutoTrader. From the outset, I felt that this was a company that wasn't pushy with sales and genuinely wanted to help customers find the right car. Dealing with two members of the sales team was a very pleasant experience. Driving down from Scotland felt worthwhile, and the team were just as lovely in person as I had expected. The Mitsubishi Outlander I purchased certainly didn't disappoint either. The 10-hour drive back home gave me plenty of time to put the vehicle through its paces, and it performed brilliantly throughout. All I can say is that buying a car from Celtic Auto was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. I would highly recommend these guys and would happily return to them in the future should we need another car.

Decided to purchase our first Electric car, and after doing some searching, we visited Celtic Autos to view a Niro. We were looked after by Jack, and he was very professional, friendly and not at all pushy like some other car salespersons. Ending up going back the next day for a test drive, and agreed to purchase the Niro. The overall experience was great, and would highly recommend them as a small family run business. Their attention to detail was great.
